That’s correct. You can use Cashloop without a smartphone and just as easy. Fill out the below form to order your Cashloop branded QR Card or Name badge that will allow you transact safe and securely wherever you find a Cashloop merchant. 

If you are a parent purchasing a card for your child, please consult with your school first to confirm what kind of card or name badge your school has decided to use. If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to use the WhatsApp communication icon at the bottom of this webpage.

Card/Name badge order form

The Card/Name badge solution enables parents to open a Cashloop account on their mobile device and link a Cashloop QR Card/Name badge to their account. This functionality enables students to transact at school cash and mobile phone free, with the added benefit of knowing (and controlling) what their child spends.

On completion of this form you will receive a Cashloop request to make a payment of R70 for the QR Card or Name Badge, please ensure your eWallet is loaded with sufficient funds so as not to slow down the bulk ordering process.

    How does the Card/Badge work?

    The designated parent or guardian downloads Cashloop and successfully registers to use the app. 

    Upload funds into your eWallet via the 6% or 0% Direct EFT option. Our recommendation would be to upload an estimated amount that you have budgeted for your child to spend at the Tuck shop, or other Cashloop Merchant sites (such as the Finance Department or uniform shop) for the month or term ahead.

    When your child would like to purchase something, they walk up to the counter to purchase their goods. The Merchant scans their QR code on the Badge/Card from the Merchant’s device.

    The designated parent or guardian will receive a push notification from their child’s purchase, for how much and from where. The funds will automatically be transferred from the designated parent or guardian’s account to the Tuck shop, or other Cashloop Merchant sites (such as the Finance Department or uniform shop).

    How do I setup my Child's Cashloop Card/Name badge?

    In your Cashloop App, tap on the blue bar with the pink triangle at the bottom of the screen. Tap “Settings”. Scroll down to the bottom of the page and tap “Secondary Passcode”. Enter your Cashloop Password and tap “Submit”. Next, enter the 4-digit secondary passcode. Please make sure you share this with your child and that he/she remembers it, as they will need to insert this code when purchasing items using Cashloop. 

    Your Child’s Secondary Code has now been setup and he/she can now purchase items wherever there is a Cashloop registered Merchant.
